I do something similar, but I select "Reply to All" and then cut and paste
the list address over the poster's address.  On the other hand, on open
lists such as this (and even more so, the SCA Heralds list), I generally
reply to poster and list unless I'm absolutely certain that the sender is
subscribed to the list.  My general philosophy is that it's fairly trivial
to delete a duplicate if you get one, but nigh impossible to find a
message that you didn't receive.
